New to being a 1099 and need a tax person

Does anyone have any recommendations on a very reasonably priced tax person? I just took a new job but will be an independent consultant (1099) and need someone to help me with my taxes.

Thank you!!

There isn't really that much to it. The IRS website can guide you. The most important thing to do is calculate your quarterly taxes and file them on time so you don't get bit in the behind come April of next year.

Get turbotax premier or home office and let it guide you. I'm a 1099 and have multiple rentals....never have to hire a tax guy to do my returns.

I'm getting ready to become 1099 also but will have several clients. Worth it to retain accountant for bookkeeping? Or just use Quickbooks? Thank you!

Make sure you're paid a lot more. If you're going to be an independent contractor.

Not necessary, just keep good records of your income and expenses and remember to pay your estimated taxes on time (and keep proof of it).

that's such a stupid thing to say. you pay your taxes according to your earnings. make more = pay more taxes.

what's your point PP?
