After Care at DCPS Schools

Can anyone share their feedback on experiences with aftercare in DCPS. I've heard really good things about the usual suspects (Mann, Eaton, Hyde, Janney, Murch, Key, Lafayette, etc...) and really horrible things about some schools that are not quite in the top ten (Peabody)?

I want to consider DCPS but the aftercare scares me and I would like some reassurance from other parents that my kids will not be maimed or scarred for life in DCPS aftercare programs.

OP, I believe it is school specific. You have to ask about the schools you hope to enroll dc in.

e.g., my dd's experience of after care at Hyde many years ago was wonderful. "Mr. C" rocked! (and hopefully still rocks -- does anyone know if he is still there?) But that is all a function of who the person/company is who working with an individual school.

OP here... Yeah! I know that it is school specific but I wanted to get opinions from parents who thought that their child's program was particularly good. Appreciate your feedback!

CHiming in-- I'd love feedback about Oyster's after care, especially their Oyster Creative Activities program.

We've been very pleased with the After Care program at Shepherd.
