Refinance companies

Anonymous
We currently have a home mortgage (FHA) with Bank of America. Considering refinancing and entered some information, including email address and cell phone but not SS #, through Lending Tree. Have been besieged with emails from companies such as Wyndham Capital Mortgage, Guaranteed Rate, Quicken Loans, Mid America, Bridgeview Bank Mortgage, etc. Anybody used any of these? I'm hesitant to respond because I'm used to BOA. TIA!

All lenses are fairly interchangeable, but traditional bricks and mortar banks are usually a good choice for service but bad choice for rate. Quicken gets good reviews. Never heard of the others but the key is picking a good title co to close.

I have refinanced probably 6-8 times and have never picked my own title company. Personally I would go with whoever has the lowest rates, which is usually Amerisave, but if you want more personal contact during the process then you could look at places like Eagle Bank.

We have used Wyndham a couple times. Good rates, quick to close. we did zero closing costs with rates that were still better than any of the other rates we were quoted.
