Has anyone at Shady Grove been able to do a natural cycle FET? I know they like to do the medicated and push for that but I am curious if anyone has been able to do a natural cycle with just monitoring and very little hormones/medication?
I don't think you can do it at Shady Grove.
I made the mistake of asking Dr. Widra if they did natural cycle IVF a couple of years ago and he bit my head off! I'm not sure how they feel about nat cycle FET, do they think it decreases one's chances or is it a scheduling issue?
I am very curious about this too. I have two frozen embryos there and am interested in low meds plus monitoring. Has anyone asked SG this question recently?

OP here. That's what I was afraid of...I still plan on asking but it won't be for awhile. I got pregnant via IVF in 2012 and just as I was about to start taking the BCP (and give my 12 month old more time to wean) I got pregnant naturally! So, even with breastfeeding and being 40 I got pregnant. (I also have 3 from my 1st marriage, no intervention needed) So I think I would be a good candidate for a natural cycle but they seem so against it.

They will not do natural cycle fet and they get very testy when you bring it up. I have been putting off my fet because it makes me so annoyed to have to have 8+ weeks of unnecessary hormones just so they can schedule their nine zillion patients a month in advance like they like to. But we only have one frozen embryo and it also makes me nervous to move it to a different lab so I guess I am going to suck it up.

Their website explains their position at: http://www.shadygrovefertility.com/natural-cycle-ivf/
They feel pretty strongly about it. |

I really think it's a scheduling issue for them because they are so big, many top clinics around the world are doing NCIVF:
