Holiday gift for weekend babysitter?

Anonymous
Any suggestions as to holiday gift for a weekend babysitter. She is a recent college graduate and has babysat for my DC a few nights a week for the past few years.

We usually give her $$, b/c she is in a low paying job, lots of bills. But, not sure if that is impersonal. We really like her a lot and are really trying to do something nice. I'm always nervous that we either do too much or too little.

Any suggestions appreciated.

We give money for the holidays. We also gave a mall gift card for her birthday.

You could do gift certificates to the movies or a restaurant too.

OP here. Thanks for the replies.

Any suggestions as to appropriate amount? Is $100 too little?

We also give $. I think the standard is one night's pay plus a small gift from the children, if you choose. $100 sounds like a lot.

$100?!!?! The only people getting a $100 gift from me are my mother and my husband. The kids don't even get that much. I would think a movie gift certificate that covers the cost of two entry tickets and some popcorn should be plenty for a babysitter.

100 would be great. Or maybe 50 cash and a 50 gift card?
