Paris hotel recommendations

A friend and I will be in Paris for a few nights at the end of February and are still trying to figure out where to stay. We would like something within a reasonable walking distance to places like the Louvre (my friend is disabled but can handle non-strenuous walking).

We would also like something budget friendly, so fancy places that are $300, $400, $500+ per night won't work for us this time.

I recently stayed at the hotel gramont near the opera. centrally located to a couple different metros and not far from the louvre and reasonable. quiet.

Use Hotwire.com. We stayed at the Westin Vendome for about $200/night. It was fabulous and in a great location right across from Jardin de Tuileries.

Check betterbidding.com to get an idea of which hotel you could get.
