Yes, tip about half as much for carry out or counter service.

Also, 18.5 rounded up to an even dollar, not 15, is now the standard.

I agree that 10% is good. I usually do 2-3 bucks, but never more than that.

I worked in a restaurant making salads, plating desserts, packing to go,orders and cashing out the take out orders. The take out orders were definitely the most time consuming. Someone is serving you. That said, most people don't tip.

This describes all of back of house, and I never got a tip for being back there. . .

I tip but a smaller amount, maybe 10% or $5
