Best Silver Spring schools?

Ok- since the other Silver Spring schools discussion has deteriorated I am curious if there are good Silver Spring schools.

Can anyone shed light on Sligo and Einstein - thanks.

A friend just moved to be near Stonegate ES strictly so their kids would go to that school versus their prior school in the north Silver Spring area.

Where is Stonegate ES?

Stonegate is north of Bonifant, west of NH Ave.

Stonegate is a great school and while it borders a bad school district it does not feed into Kennedy High School. The actual Stonegate neighborhood is very nice --- nice large solidly built older homes on big lots (talk to a realtor to find out if these homes have the pinhole leaky pipes like some other neighborhoods in the area from the same era). The only downside is its close proximity to the Layhill/Bel Pre Road area (Plaza del Mercado area). The nearest metro station is Glenmont.

Check out the part of Silver Spring near East West Highway close to Chevy Chase that ultimately feeds into BCC for high school.

Highland Elementary School was just awarded a blue ribbon for improvement by the State of Maryland Department of Education:
