National Center for Weight and Wellness - Dr Scott Kahan?

Hello,

Has anyone been a patient/client of Dr. Scott Kahan at his National Center for Weight and Wellness (he was recommended on another post on this forum)? I am looking for feedback, as I am considering the Center to support me through weight loss.

Scott's terrific! So are the other professionals at the Center! I've been their patient for the last year and a half. Scott genuinely cares about each and every patient and, unlike many physicians I've encountered, he really listens to you. (That sounds like it should be a given for a doctor, but we all know it isn't!) He wants to learn about your experiences, lifestyle, past and present struggles with weight loss, your fears, your triumphs, etc. so that he can help you structure a wellness plan that fits your unique circumstances, whatever they may be. And he brings tremendous knowledge and experience about treating overweight and obesity to the table.

The other members of the Center's professional staff are also outstanding. Drs. Robyn Osborne and Bill Picon, both clinical psychologists specializing in treating weight-related problems, have been helping me figure out why I overeat and ways to make life-long changes in how I approach food. For me -- in my unique circumstances -- this is just as important to my success as developing healthier eating habits and moving more. And if you need help in those areas, the Center provides it with nutritionists and exercise/movement specialists.

Working with Scott and the Center, I've shed 85 pounds in about 16 months. And for the first time in my life, I think I may have the tools to keep it off!

Bottom line: Best folks around for supporting you in your weight loss goals!

He is the best doctor you will ever find. I have been with him for 3 years and he has changed my life. I can't imagine my life without his advice, counsel and constant support. His approach is different from any other doctor who is dealing with weight issues -- he will find out what works for you, listen attentively, not make judgments, support you when you're down, celebrate your accomplishments and help you to be the person you really want to be but have struggled with for various reasons. He will help you to realize it's not just about weight but about figuring out the lifestyle you want to lead. I can't say enough good things about him. Meet with him once and you will see what I mean. Each time I meet with him, I leave his office a happier person.
