Are Kirkland brand diapers just as good as major brand diapers for newborns? Sure prefer the price...any advice is much appreciated as we close in on our due date. |
They are fine. You will be changing the diaper practically every hour anyways - not much time for leaks ![]() |
We had to go through several different brands before we found the one that worked for DD (Pampers, started out with Huggies and also tried another brand that I can't think of right now). I would disagree with PP - even when you change diapers often, there is a chance for leaks (trust me on this!), but it will be true with any brand. Also, sizing can be tricky at first, since you don't obviously know how big your baby will be when s/he is born.
BTW, you didn't ask but the Kirkland wipes are absolutely the best! (and the price is good too). |
They are good diapers but I'm not sure they have a NB size? |
kirkland diapers are GREAT but not for newborns, they're too big still. Leaking is not what really happens I think, it's more that poo 'shoots' up or is so thin it will just not be absorbed by the diaper (any diaper!) unless you close them really tight.
For newborns, especially if this is your first baby, buy the pamper ones that give a blue stripe when the diaper gets wet. It gives you piece of mind knowing that you'll see when baby is wet, and not have to 'bother' baby by checking the diaper. |
When my DD was born, the Hospital had Pampers Swaddlers, which worked great. We were also given a box of Huggies and some other brands. However, the ones that have worked for us the best since she was born, have been Pampers. They do not leak and they are very good. I buy them at BRU everytime they have them on sale and with coupons, and the price is reasonable. |
we used kirkland diapers from start to finish--super happy with them. |
They were too big. We used Pampers until he got a little bigger, then switched to Kirkland because they are so much cheaper. |
