Right time to look for a pediatrician?

Now would be a good time. Call a few ped. offices (in network) and inquire about the next meet & greets (my ped. office offered them 2x a month). Obviously, there is no obligation to attend these sessions (although some offices do have a small fee so be sure to ask). My ped. office also had me schedule an appt. with their LC since I was a first-time mom and got on her email list of new-mom meetings that the doc. office offered (that was really nice).

Bottom line - you're approaching the home stretch. At least get a sense of what is out there if you don't want to make a choice right away. I hope it doesn't happen, but sometimes, babies decide to come earlier than 40 weeks.

AND remember - you can always change doctors after 1, 2, 3, etc. months. This isn't some life long commitment or like buying a house where you can't really change your mind.

I started around 35 weeks; I think that was a little late, since babies can come anytime; its something I think most people should have taken careof by week 35, just in case...
