Price of piano lessons

We are thinking of leaving our inexpensive piano teacher - $18 per 30 min lesson for a more expensive one $40 per 30 min. I feel in an area like this you get what you pay for as the market really controls this. I'm still reeling from a bit of sticker shock. What is the typical rate for piano teachers in the area?

We pay $70 an hour for two kids. She's the school's music teacher and comes to our house.
