Looking for suggestions for dinner locations in CP. I have relatives coming in from out of state for a swim meet and I am completely unfamiliar with the area.
Open to anything, but preference is for a nicer restaurant (trying to avoid smelly college bars). TIA |
| Aztec restaurant, original ledos pizza, bus boys and poets in Hyattsville, |
| 2nd busboys and poets. Also Franklin's. |
| Thank you! These look like great options. |
|
Busboys and poets and there are some other places close to it, woodlands on New Hampshire ave. new deal cafe or her siris in greenbelt, fishnet.
Downtown silver spring is a couple of exits away with a lot more options. |
| I second Franklin's. We go there a lot and have never been disappointed. |
| Franklin's is good for a beer and pizza, or beer and a burger, or just beer. But the rest of the menu isn't worth it. BB&P is much better. |

Ikea. (Kind of serious. Cafeteria style but the food is inexpensive and pretty good.)
Here's some additional ideas: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/334636.page http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/373161 There's also an Ethiopian restaurant but the name escapes me at the moment. Langley Park is also great for Indian food. |

Not OP, but thanks for this. I'm definitely going. Also, does anyone know of a place for pupusa in PG or College Park that's not totally sketchy? TIA. |
| what about Platos diner... o |
Agree -- Franklin's is totally safe for guests, though. I love Fishnet! (If you like fish) |
They look closed every time I drive by. |
| Bobby's burger palace right on route 1 is always a good safe option. |
