Is there any info on how much time she actually spent I. Spain? Was it like whole summers in Spain every year? Did she move to Spain after HS and then come back at age 19? Baldwin’s older daughter said something about Hillary’s “chosen” family attending her wedding. Like what does that mean? Did the brother move to Spain and then meet and marry his now wife?

That was me. You would think there would at least one person who Alec could turn to for a favor? The only person who has supported them has been Ireland and even she's backing away a little. Where is a statement from her parents and brother who actually do live in Spain? Or any of these 40 family members who came over for her wedding?

No. After graduating HS in Boston, she attended Boston University her freshman year of college then moved to NYC at 19.

Alec in 2003 was in a long NY Times piece waxing on about the importance of prenuptial agreements, so there were clearly background checks and lawyers involved, plus CAA is the most powerful agency in the world. I won't go so far as some who assert this may have been a Tom and Katie arranged situation, but Alec knew precisely who he was marrying and there was a lot of choreography behind this 'spicy' wife thing.

Mum and dad conveniently moved to Spain just before the wedding, Harvard doctor mum and Georgetown lawyer dad don't get named in the wedding announcement, mum and dad don't even attend the wedding (her brother walked her down the aisle?), and mum and dad living in Spain is the one piece of evidence used to fact check her ties to the country.

Seems there’s an army of bots claiming she speaks Spanish well. No, she doesn’t. Sounds like a kid who took 4 years of Spanish in high school with a decent accent. But it’s just surface level. She’s what Alec would call a ‘pseud’ — everything is surface level trying to impress and trick people.

I am a native speaker and she has a good accent. I have only heard her say short simple sentences but with those I bought that she was spanish. She's probably not fluent to speak anything more complicated but she's good with the accent.

Most americans who learn spanish in USA have a latin accent, her accent is castellano though. They are quite different.

She uses repetitive phrases and filler words with a good Spanish accent and nonverbal movements, and clearly understands Spanish, but if you watch this whole 3 minute video, she has to think before she speaks and makes several errors.

If you listen around 2:25 she mispronounces the Spanish word for movie and has to then pause and say it correctly [says pelucula, catches herself then says pelicula].

I hadn't seen this interview. I still think her accent is really good even if she mispronounced some word but the answers are too simple, that's what gives her away. However if they told me she's spanish and I see this vid I'd probably just think she's a very simple person.

About the cucumber thing I have to say I don't think is so weird to forget how to say a word in your native language, that's happened to me sometimes.

I thought it was incredibly appropriate for him to publicly acknowledge these women, and incredibly narrow-minded of "Hilaria" to be horrified about how *she* would be perceived by contrast.
