Travel Discussion
I recently bought one of these and was wondering if you just gate check the entire thing with the car seat attached. Or do I need to take it apart? Also, I'm guessing the carseat cover will get a little dirty, but there's no way around that unless I buy a bag.
We used ours for the first time over Thanksgiving and it worked pretty well. We had it hand checked through security and then gate checked it. At the gate, we just removed the wheels (I think the newer model has this feature), leaving the seat attached to the rest of the travelmate. We bought a bag to put the car seat/travelmate in. I would recommend this as the bag looked pretty beat up when we got it back (but the seat was fine). Good luck!
It depends on the officer, sometimes I had to take it off and sometimes not. Also depending on the airplane, the gogokidz fits into the plane seat, what is nice!
