How much do you pay for bedding?

More specifically a sheet set for a KIng bed.
Top and bottom sheet plus two pillow cases. What is reasonable?

I haven't bought a sheet set in ages.

As much as I can.

OP here, I usually just get middle of the road bedding.

What I can afford. I have some cheap sets, that I bought for about $100 from amazon.
If you want a set from Pottery Barn, dept store standard RL or similar, expect to pay about $250 +
If you want Frette...well that is another story.

$30-$50. TJ Maxx always has nice sheets. I aim for 500+ thread counts.

I'd pay up to $300.

Should I go for white, ivory or a darker color.
Just wondering what is easier to clean.

Ivory - you can bleach it.

I like Matouk and Serena and Lily sheets. They are pretty expensive.

I have the same question. Just invested in a really nice bed. Would like to own sheets that make me happy. Have not found them. See 600 thread 100 cotton sateen sheet set for a king bed on sale for $330 plus on Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn. Never considered paying this much for sheets. Is this the answer? Does anyone own sheets they love? if so, what are they please? Thanks.

I've always had good luck at places like Marshall's.

I have pottery barn sheets and they are terrible. You can find great deals on sheets at homegoods, tjmaxx and Marshall's. they have great brands and great prices. Oddly I have some Calvin Kline sheets from tjmaxx that are over ten years old and are still fantastic.

Overstock has a very large selection at many price points. I usually spend $80 for 600 thread count.

The best sheets I've bought in the past several years were from Target--their Threshold brand. I have sheets from Ralph Lauren, some luxury brand of 800 thread count from Home Goods, and The Company Store, and the Target sheets I bought on a whim have held up the best.
