Parents looking to gain a bit more cooperation from their kids may want to consider two upcoming deals offered by The Parent Encouragement Program (PEP), which has served DC area parents for more than 25 years.
Why Don't My Kids Listen to Me? is a free workshop offered by PEP for all parents. Taught by a Certified Parent Educator, the class offers positive insights into how parents can gain more cooperation from their children without repeating, reminding, or yelling. The intro will be offered twice at two different locations. January 6, 7-8:30pm, Kensington Park Library, 4201 Knowles AVe., Kensington and January 17, 11am-12:30pm, Great Falls Library, 9830 Georgetown Pike, Great Falls Both are free. All parents need to do is contact PEP at 301-929-8824 to pre-register. For parents of 5-12 year old who are looking to make an investment in their family that is guaranteed to pay off, PEP is offering an early registration discount on its most popular class -- PEP I, which will be offered in Kensington, Rockville, Silver Spring, Great FAlls & Reston this winter session. Registrations must be received by 12/31/08, or at either of the two workshops mentioned above. PEP is also offering its incredibly popular Parenting Preschoolers Class in Kensington and Reston.
