| How many is it ok to eat everyday? |
| only downside is constipation! |
Is that a sign you're eating too many and it is taxing on your liver? |
I don't think they're quite that dangerous. |
Lol just wondering if too much potassium was bad for you.
|
Actually bananas are good if you have constipation. A couple a day should be fine. |
I don't think so. Banana's are suggested for people that have diarrhea or Chron's, because it... well, helps to stop you from pooping. |
People with kidney issues can't eat them. But you should probably be fine. |
| I eat 2 a day. I could probably eat more, but I try to stop myself at 2. |
|
I don't think there's a limit but they're pretty calorie dense. Around 100 calories in a small banana.
My brother loves them and used to eat 5+ per day. He was very active and went he injured his knee he stopped exercising and started gaining weight. He cut out the bananas and the weight dropped off. I wish it were so easy for me. |
| Bananas are binding. Ever heard of the BRAT diet for diarrhea? |
| ripe bananas have a lot of sugar in them (green ones are ok) - one is sufficent. |
Green ones are inedible. I would so rather eat fewer, better tasting bananas than more bitter, astringent flavored ones. |
|
Unripe bananas constipate. People in the US seem to like their bananas green-tinged, so I'm not surprised bananas are thought of as constipating around here.
Ripe bananas do not constipate, and can actually help keep things moving. |
| I miss the old Gros Michels (Big Mikes) from the 1970's. Now we are stuck with Cavendish, a much less tasty variety |
