We desperately need some counseling and base on recommendations here and some subsequent reading, I'm interested in trying to persuade DH to try Emotionally Focused Therapy. I like that there is an end game - about 12 sessions and stats re results, instead of facing the prospect of couples counseling that goes on and on and gets us nowhere.
There is a list of certified therapists here http://www.ocfi.ca/cgi-bin/eft/searchbyprovince.cgi . It would be nice to hear from someone who has a good experience with a particular therapist. Bethesda, Silver Spring or Kensington would work for us. Thank you. |

| We did about 10 sessions of EFT, if I recall. Very, very helpful. We don't feel the need to go back, but it's there if we do. That was two years ago. Our marriage is 180 degrees different and improved. I have no recommendations for EFT counselor as I am not in the DC area. Good luck. You are on the right track. |
