Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
| We're going to visit relatives overseas for Christmas and there will be a 3 hr difference for us to cope with. What do I do with DD's schedule? We've got a pretty solid routine going on. She has three naps around the same time every day based on when she ate and she eats every 3 hrs or so during the day. We start getting her ready for bed at around 7pm everynight. We'll be away for 2 weeks. Do I switch her to the destination time, or keep her on our time so I don't have any adjusting on the way back? |
| At 5 months old, if she sleeps a lot, I'd try to stick to the home schedule. I'm not much help though. We have traveled to Europe pretty regularly with our infant-now-toddler, and the time change screwed him up each time. But we only stay about a week each time. It "was" easier when he was very young, however. |
