NYE: EA turn PA

I read somewhere that the week between Christmas and New Years, and especially New Year's Eve is the period in time during which it's most likely for an emotional affair to turn physical. Wondering how common it is. Anyone around here about to make the leap?

(My marriage is only mildly rocky; no EA or PA on the horizon. That said, I'm going to keep my DW nearby tonight. Better safe than sorry.)

Probably. But, the theory is that people in shitty marriages hold it together through the holidays. Christmas goes by; then you get a lot of alcohol flowing on New Year's Eve, and "it just happened!"

This sounds horrible. Like keeping your dog on a short leash. Do you not trust her.
