What is your DC water bill for 4?

We just got a $105 water bill. We've been about $70, which I thought seemed way too high. We just put in two new low-flow toilets, so I thought it would be less. What is your average DC water bill for four? My kids are in upper elementary, and do take long showers, which we're trying to curb. We've never watered our lawn. TIA!

We are near $90 each month. Same household situation as yours. Difference may be from estimated reading which is later corrected by a measured reading. (Even with the new radio meters, we get an estimated reading once in a while.)

We pay about $120 for family of four every quarter. So that comes to about $40 a month in Potomac

Ranges from $60-$72 a month...4 people in the house and 4 dogs. during summer it is around $75

We got a really high water bill and it turned out they hadn't done an actual read in 6 months because our reader was broken. We called, they looked into it and refunded our money. Worth giving wasa a call!

If you call Customer Service they can discuss the bill with you. As a previous post stated, it might have been the difference between estimated and actual readings. The number is 202-612-3400.

Thanks to pp's and John Lisle. I will call customer service, but also wanted to know if we are within the average of a family of four. From what I've read on this board re other jurisdictions, our bill seems high. Didn't know if it was us, or DC. Anyone else?

A bit leap can mean a problem -- a running toilet, a minor pipe leak.

Our tenants constantly fail to report a running toilet (or do anything about it) so their water bill has been as high as $220.

Omg .... My water bill is more than my heating bill and electric bill. I've called about the fluctuating useage reporting online only to be told that there must be something wrong in my house. I've had wasa to come out and check them eaters and all my toilets, still no answer as to why my water bill is 100+ a month.
