This year black friday and Cyber monday sucked badly. Nothing was on sale for an extreme amount.
When will the real sale come? |
| When will retailers sell goods for significantly below what they are worth? Never. |
|
What types of items? I saw killer dealers on tons of stuff at various times throughout December. I think you're getting greedy.
If it's clothes, now. They will be putting out the spring stuff soon so expect great deals on clothes and look out for coupons to use on top of that. |
| I heard on GMA the other day that you are getting a great deal whenever the sale is 30% or more OFF and at 70% off the retailer is just trying to unload the merchandise. |
| I think they're not in this area, because the economy is doing ok, relative to the rest of the country. I was in Atlanta over the weekend, and the outlets had AMAZING deals (on things like Vineyard Vines, Brooks Brothers, etc). I got shoes at Johnston & Murphy that were 50 percent off and then "two for one." I haven't seen anything like that here. |
| re: PP's statement - I think that sales with chain retailers are national, not regional. correct or incorrect? |
I worked for a chain owned by the Limited and our sales were definitely correlated by region, stock, and individual store location. |
| The computer deals sucked this year |

Yesterday we went to Best Buy and scored a 70 inch smart TV that retailed for $1999, paid $748. Why was it so cheap ? The book to operate it was missing.
We already had the book. High 5 to the girl that helped us in the store. |
| ^^ WE did that once. TV wasn't in its original box. But once home we noticed it has a large glare spot at the upper right hand top of the picture. DH did the deal so I don't know if it is returnable. Too much of a hassle to try to return so we just live with it. |
