St Lucia with 13 month old

We'll be travelling to St Lucia in Feb with our 13 month old. We haven't made plans for where to stay or anything yet. Any tips for where to stay, what to do? Best flights?
I'm a little nervous since our arrangements will be made relatively last minute...

We went to St. Lucia last spring with our then 11 month old son. We had an amazing time and while challenging at time, are glad we did it. We rented a house because we wanted him to have his own room in which to sleep. We're so glad we did. It was an absolutely beautiful place and we couldn't have been happier. We stayed there a week.
