The black forest cake at Pastries by Randolph is much better than Heidelberg's. It's my son's favorite cake and we get it for him every year for his birthday.

Boulangerie Christophe is the only place I've seen with them. Their desserts are exquisite, but may not fit the traditional mold as far as appearance.

I disagree. I got one recently for a birthday and it was disappointing. For one, I don’t like the cherries they use (maraschino, I think).
