There are lots of healthy and cute ideas out there for snacks for preschoolers, but somehow without thinking about it I agreed to come up with one that relates to the letter "D" (that week's class theme). Any ideas? So far I've come up with:
"Dirt Cups" (chocolate pudding, oreo crumbs and gummy worms in a cup) -- but there's no way to call that "healthy" Sandwiches (pb&j or cream cheese & jelly) cut into the letter D with a cookie cutter Donut holes -- but again, the healthy police will likely hunt me down and shoot me for that one Is there something obvious I just haven't thought of? |

Dips? You could do hummus and baby carrots.
Or deviled eggs? Or maybe you could "dice" something? Or "dried" fruit? |
| Deviled eggs? ...not sure if kids like them |
| What about dairy, can you do cheese sticks or yogurt? |
| Dips - do an assortment (hummus, ranch dressing, etc) with veggies |
Donuts!
|
| double fudge brownies? |
| What about "dessert"? Could be anything. |
| Or dried fruits/veggies? |
| dates? |
|
Date bars
"Delicious" anything |
| Dates, dill pickles, daikon radish, dumplings, dried fruit, dairy. |
More for me! |
| Doritos |

I probably would do donut holes if the teacher was ok with that, but the plain ones without powdered sugar or cinnamon -- 1 donut hole per kid isn't all that bad and that is a lot less work than your other suggestions.
Also you could get a dinosaur-shaped cookie cutter and use that for sandwiches, cookies, etc. |
