| I'm a senior lobbyist at a nonprofit and I want to switch to a corporate job (SVP, VP or Director). How much is reasonable to ask for? How about at a trade association? Maybe VP/head of the office? TIA |
| How many years of experience do you have? |
| And what degrees? |
| And what kind of Hill experience? |
| 250k minimum |
|
Masters degree, 20 plus years of experience. LA for a member for four years, a while ago.
Is the $250,000 comment for a corporate job or trade association? Is it SVP, VP or Director? |
| For sr. corporate jobs your salary is usually broken up into base pay, yearly bonus and stock options. Your package will be likely be over 250 but your base pay may not be. Several things to keep in mind is that there is limited upwards mobility unless you are willing to move to HQ and little to no job security. |
| I'm 21.49 and salaries vary greatly by industry. The manufacturing sector isn't making as much as the health care or finance sectors. |
Is this for the person running the office or for one of a couple VPs or Senior Directors? |
|
What issue area?
SVP at high profile trade association-- 250 + bonus SVP at low profile corporate-- 150 + bonus. |
How about VP at high profile corporate? |
| 21.49 here. Usually it is for the person running the office. I suppose if it is a large office more than one person could have a significant package but my guess it is rare (I don't know of any). |
Minimum of 200 but it depends on how many VPs there are, are there directors too? Lots of variables. |
200 plus bonus or including bonus? |
| Any thoughts on the bonus question? |
