My kids have this burning Bakugan jones going and I kow you are supposed to buy one with a high # of "G's". If any of you know more specifics could you clue me in here? I don't want to buy the wrong ones...What about the little ones w/metal band--are these more sought after? wtf?

op here- ok this must look like spam or no one really knows about this--looks like I'll be traipsing off to purchase useless bits of plastic for my sons to bicker over.

I wish I knew, but I sure do hate those things.

I'm still learning, but I don't think you can tell what the Gs are while it's in the package. In our house, the ones with the metal bands are definitely cool, but they don't necessarily have more Gs. Also, your kids may have preference for different color schemes. One of my boys is really into the Darkus Bakugans (these are usually the black ones, but may be white with the special Darkus marking).
Since they're always sold out, we just buy whatever we can find. Where have you found them???

Totally random, but I bought two of the Bakugan Battle Arena Mega Packs at Costco for Xmas and now I don't need them. They were around $35 or so - I'm going to return them but could sell them to anyone who's desperately ISO Bakugan toys. It has a battle arena, maybe 12 cards and 6 of the metal balls that spring open?

I don't know, either, but if you figure it out, please post again!!

I also have no idea how Pokemon works.

It works like this.

You put a card face down. You throw the things on it. Each kid gets some function of the points that guy is worth (marked inside the ball) and the value dictated by the card for that specific bakugan. Whoever wins gets the "trick" (trick as in hearts). Then you put down another card.

I'm sure there's a plain old card game that works just like this without the magnets.

I can't tell you how best to purchase, because we got a gift. I think "valuable ones" are randomly distributed.

Your kids will tire of these.

Thanks!!

...Why was that so hard for me to figure out? Oh. Maybe because my six year old was trying to explain it to me while spinning in a circle and making sound effects.
