I'm looking for good traditional Christmas candy... ribbon, cut rock candy, etc. The kind I used to get in my stocking.
Gotta be a brick & mortar store, preferably close to Dupont/ Farragut. Leaving Saturday and no time for shipping (and so many of the products available online have negative reviews saying that it's stale or broken or otherwise crap). Thank you!! |
I saw ribbon candy at Barnes & Noble the other day
Walmart has both ribbon and the old fashioned hard candy. Walgreens usually has them too.
Cracker barrel
Dean and DeLuca
I saw ribbon candy at Fresh Market.
I saw ribbon candy yesterday at the Nordstrom rack in Friendship Heights, maybe the new at 18th and L has it as well.
You might check/call the Chocolate Moose in Farragut Sq.
Check out CVS. Thought I saw some there a few years ago. Ribbon candy reminds me so much of my grandmother!!
Ribbon candy is at Wegmans. They even sell the assortment of old fashioned colored/striped hard candy... Not sure what it's called but it looks like a thicker, stockier version of ribbon candy. We bought some for our gingerbread house.
Walgreens. Bottom shelf of the holiday aisle.
Nordstrom Rack - World Market
Saw ribbon candy at Whole Foods, but a bit out of your way.
There's a WF at Foggy Bottom. It's only 1 Metro Stop away From Farragut West. The Op could even walk there in 15 mins. That's about how long it takes me. |
Saw ribbon candy on an end cap at Giant in Bethesda this afternoon (by WJHS).
