These numbers aren’t great for Republicans no matter who wins the runoff.

D +15 get close to on par given the gerrymandering and suppression tactics.

Independents are upset with Trump and abandoning him? So what?

NONE of this matters if the Democrats can't get their voters to the polls, and if they can't get them into districts where their votes matter.

Fact: SCOTUS, DOJ and ICE have checkmated the Democrats. There is a LOT of money to be made on Polymarket picking the Republicans to hold the House. Trying to get loyal Democrats to the polls is going to be like crawling through sludge with all the obstacles the Republicans have brilliantly erected.

Elections have consequences.

Democrats are way higher on enthusiasm and have been wiping the floor in special elections. Read all the data in this thread. You can go ahead and put money on the GOP keeping the House, be my guest. The Democrats taking the Senate is more likely.

Don't be silly. The Republicans have been keeping our powder dry. SCOTUS just fired the first shot after the Virginia travesty, and a humongous shot it was . Couple that with ICE, DOJ, and friendly local police sweeping through Democrat areas in competitive districts, and the Democrat advantage will melt away as once again the Rachel Maddows wonder what went wrong.

So, fascism?

Losers.

Republican House candidate for Oklahoma’s 1st district Dan Rooney, an Air Force veteran and current National Guard officer, drops out after Trump endorses a different candidate. He claims he took an oath “to serve his commander in chief” (pssst that’s not at all what his oath says) so he can’t continue his campaign. But it’s not a cult or anything.

+11 on generic ballot is huge. That number was stubbornly sitting at +5 for months while Trumps numbers sank. Seems like his unpopularity is finally sticking to republicans too. And D +11 is enough to make some gerrymanders into dummymanders.

You have to think any congressional district Trump won by fewer than 10 points in 2024 is flipable.
