Where to stay when dining at Inn at Little Washington?

Anonymous
I wasn't sure which forum to put this in but I'm hoping this one will work. I am taking DH to Inn at Little Washington for his b-day and was wondering if anyone could recommend a nice place to stay while we're out there? I don't want to spend more than $300 for the night so the actual Inn at Little Washington is out. Thanks for any recommendations!

We stayed at Foster Harris House. It was lovely. Expensive, but not as much as the Inn. They have a wonderful breakfast and were just finishing up expanding to include dinners, as well. I'm betting their dinner is pretty great, too.

We stayed at the Gay STreet Inn. It was fine. Honestly, not sure that either the Inn or the dinner was worth it. It seemed a bit tired and boring (Although some dishes were good) when we were there. I hope your experience is better.

The town *is* lovely and quiet.

I second the Foster Harris house. Wine when we arrived and other treats and the breakfast was great. Plus it is nice to walk through the town to get to the Inn. Have fun.

Np here. I recommend Gay St. Inn. We loved the restaurant and enjoyed our stay at the Inn after dinner and tge next morning.

We stayed in Sperryville at the Inn at Mount Vernon Farm. It's about ten minutes drive. Very cute and the owner will give you a tour of the farm if you're interested.
