Munire Convertible Cribs

Anonymous
I went to Great Beginnings this weekend and looked at the Munire convertible cribs. Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this brand and / or convertible cribs in general. I found it interesting that they don't post on their website what safety standards they meet (i.e. JMPA ). I know Baby Bargains rates them as one of the top brands for cribs. Any input is appreciated!

we purchased a set from Munire 2 years ago for DD#1 and I'm getting ready to buy a second set for DD#2. I think the cribs are fabulous - we haven't "converted" it yet, but the fact that you can convert it into a toddler bed and then into a full size is just great and will save tons of money down the road. The cirb seems to be built well, its sturdy and the mattress fits very well. Don't know about the certification thing but you could ask the sales guy at the store possibly?

Hi we didnt buy a Munire crib but we did buy a convertible crib for our baby who is due pretty soon. I dont know if it helps but from everything we learned it sounds like convertible is the way to go even if you are only having one child- because you dont have to worry about buying another bed down the line obviously. The one thing I would advise is to shop around for mattresses though because this is where the stores try and catch you. We had one salesperson tell us that a 300 dollar mattress's big "plus" was it 75 year warranty. No joke. My husband and I were like are you kidding me? Anyways, do some research on line before you buy the mattress so the salesperson doesnt pressure you into a needlessly expensive crib mattress. Good luck!
