Financial Aid - Average Grant?

I am curious what the average grant size is for a financial aid recipient for a typical NW elite private school. Surely no one is receiving a full ride at the elementary-school level (or later years for that matter), are they?

and do some schools favor larger and fewer awards vs smaller and greater # awards? can anyone give any ballpark statistics (without getting too uncomfortable revealing your financial info)?
