If you live in Kensington or know the area

A group of us are going to a play at the town hall on Mitchell St next Sat. Can anyone suggest a good restaurant nearby?
We would like to only have to park once, we will have 4 adults and 4 kids so nowhere too fancy.

In Kensington, Chipotle is the one one that is good. Otherwise you have to go to Wheaton/Silver Spring or Rockville.

Black Market Bistro in Garrett Park.

All good suggestions. If you like ethnic, Wheaton is a treasure trove especially for Asian or Latin food.

This is my suggestion too. Adorable, and delicious.

FYI, OP, I saw the troupe you're seeing at the town hall. Don't drink a lot b/c the show went beyond two hours with really brief intermission. I had to leave b/f the curtain call b/c I couldn't go past the two hour mark sitting on a hard chair. Such a snore. Realize it's a "community" production but tickets were way over-priced. And obviously the directors haven't heard of editing numbers and pacing.

OP here, PP really? Im not going to enjoy 2 hours on a hard chair either

Thanks for the suggestions. We are all coming from different places and trying to get all 3 cars parked in one location at the same time and then move seems like a hassle.

Yeah, the people in that theater group have been pretty full of themselves for years.

It was a different show, so maybe it will be different. I'd bring your own bottle of water though.

K town bistro and Two Pear are within walking distance. Never been to either.

You could also try Sub Urban Trading Company:

You could also walk from there. Old Town Market has great sandwiches but not a lot of seating; it's basically a deli.

Two pair closed months ago. A new pizza place will be opening. Frankly pizza but they aren't close to opening yet.

You'd have to park twice, but Manoli Canoli on Connecticut Ave in Chevy Chase is kid friendly.

Gross. Their food isn't freshly made and much of it tastes reheated. Service terrible too.
