| Do you mean something like queso? We like Newman's Own. |
| Tostitos queso |
I'll second this. I've tried just about every brand of queso dip I've seen in a store, and none is as good as this one. Right texture, right spice level... Love it! Wish I had some right now. |
This stuff is a CRACK-HEROIN-METH combo. It's so incredibly bad for you but I dare you to stop eating it before the jar is empty. |
| Lol tostitos poster here...I'm 8.5 months oregnant and I bought a jar for me a week ago and went to have some today and 1/4 the jar is left! My DH could not help himself lol! |

| buy a block of velveeta and a can of rotel, mix them together & microwave. it's even better than the premixed quesos. |
Blech. Newman's Own for the win! |
I'm a PP who loves Tostitos queso. I have done the Rotel + Velveeta, and have to say I didn't love it. I like both of those things separately (as hard as it is it to admit I like Velveeta) but together... not so much. I found it a bit too salty, ironically. |
PP here. Maybe I should give Newman's another try. |
|
Nah, I think the Newman's Own poster is a little full of his or her own opinion.
Go with the crack-addicted crowd, I mean the Tostitos. |

Inspired by this thread and a love of queso, my family decided to do a little taste test between Newman's Own, Tostitos, and the classic Velveeta/Rotel.
We standardized. Just chips and queso. While all were better than respectable, and we have old school love for good spice and Rotel, the clear winner was the Tostitos. YMMV. |
As much as I like what Paul Newman did and what his charities do, that stuff has a bitter, unpleasant aftertaste. Tostitos is probably mostly plastic, but it beats the pants off Newman's Own. |
| A few slices of Velveeta with some good salsa, put it in the microwave until it's melted. Yum, queso. |
