I'm hopeless at pulling outfits together so I need advice!
I bought a mid-thigh/upper-knee length sweater tunic/dress sort of thing. It has big buttons down the front and side pockets. I don't have the legs to actually wear it as a dress or even with tight legging things. What should I wear with it? A long skirt? Slim pants? What types of shoes? I love the sweater but need help making it into an outfit. TIA for any advice! |
Skinny jeans in a dark wash and a hot pair of short boots.
Put a belt on to define the waist. Keep the belt simple. The bigger you are, the smaller the belt. |
another idea, try black leggings and black high heal tall boots (with a thicker heel), think riding boot sort of. I bet you can pull of the leggings if you try with the boots and the sweater. Otherwise, second the skinny jeans and boots idea. If you have short/stocky legs, short boots will cut you off, so I would wear the jeans over the boots in this case. |
There are a bunch of skinny khaki-looking pants on the market right now that are made to look like riding pants. I don't know what your sweater looks like, but that's a possibility, too.
You could also do tights and tall boots. Not sure which part of your leg you want to hide. |
OP here - thanks for all the advice! I appreciate it. |
