Likely no as the teachers pass standard background checks when hired and the teachers attend the state mandated hours of continuing education credits each year. If the owners/directors are meeting all that is required by law (which is on the low end in VA) then they wouldn't be negligent.
Not at all saying that this is right or should be this way. |

That is a very unfair statement to say about
the minimum wage worker! Maybe some don't take their job serious but their are others who do and have a real love Towards children, and you need to start somewhere to get valid child car experience so that maybe you can apply for another position that pays a little better. You want to talk about these " bottom of the barrel" workers what about the other thousand and thousand of people who abuse their kids, rape, or murder them. What r they consider? |
| It starts at the top the owners only care abt the money which is sad the teachers care more abt the kids I've seen it with my own eyes if you speak up they fire you I'm not not racist but the owners wants this center to have Spanish teachers that don't no nothing the whole time I was there not ONCE DID THEY SAY THANK YOU TO THE STAFF OR JOB WELL DONE!! These parents pay good money for childcare do they show the parents any appreciating HELL NO! No Thanksgiving Or Christmas dinner which is DISRESPECTFUL but hey what do you expect when they don't care because they only come out when it's a problem....to all the parents pay attention to the snack because it's the same thing every week this place has been threw at least several directors since I've been there ummm why is that because they talk good game but once they find out what's really going on they quit or the owners fire them because they couldn't clean up what somebody else mess up.....to the parents y'all can either make them or break them because without y'all there is no Sparkles so with that being said make sure they get the proper toys and books and another buggy because the same toys have been in tht center (crystal city) for at least 2yrs (trifling ) & omg the play needs to be power wash (dirty) I'm going to pray because I love the kids! |
Don't you loving it when parents say they "can't afford" to take care of their own kids? How do you think your poorly paid daycare worker "affords" to take care of your kid? If she can, why can't you? |

Some of the facilities have very good teachers. Teachers who have a lot of experience. Teachers who can share their knowledge and method of teaching. However as the previous post did say once you speak up about the behavior of the directors or the environment that parents pay for, ask questions, and hold people accountable who are in higher positions. The teachers are then bullied, written up, watched, and treatment becomes damaging. The children in the classroom suffer the teacher and classroom is put on continuous surveillance, field trips are now denied, important information is not given in a timely manner or not given at all, classrooms are not afford the same opportunities in program preparation, interest in classroom projects, even student's receiving materials, the teacher hears there aren't enough funds, or now policies spontaneously appear that keep the teacher and her students from having moneys for classroom activates ect. The very people who are set to protect you now plot to destroy your career. Ans now that I hear the owners have the same spirit leaves these children teachers and staff in a hopeless situation. One of the most difficulty things to do is try to run an Academic environment with daycare education, routine, policy, and procedures. You will meet opposition each time.
If you keep doing things the same way you will keep getting the same thing. Minnieland/Merit ect… they are all owned by the same people. Has the potential of being the best if it would stick by policy, investigate its own directors, and place cameras in the office areas. WHY NOT MAKE SURE THAT THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE OVER YOUR FACILITES ARE EXAMPLES YOU NEED THEM TO BE. You always have a few rotten eggs that try to spoil the bunch. Owners should ask themselves where is the source of the break down. 95% of the time it is your Leaders. |
