Are there any religious or scholarly writings (Christian, Muslim, other) about Mary's pregnancy? Was she pregnant for a full 9 months, and what kinds of speculation was there about her pregnancy?

What writings or scholarly history has been done about her life pre the birth of Jesus?

This is really interesting - thanks for posting!

But it still doesn't tell anything about Mary's life before the birth of Jesus. The historical context is helpful, but it's not really personalized to Mary's own individual background. I feel like if she's the mother of such an important figure (historically, as a prophet, as a god, depending on your perspective), there should really be a lot more info about her as a person. Anything else out there?

I'm not going to search for it but TIME wrote something about Mary years ago. Something about living during a time with Romans invaded...is all I remember.
