| We're off to Cambridge for Christmas week. Grateful for any suggestions for activities and really fantastic restaurants. (We already know we love Cambridge 1 and the Elephant Walk.) Two families, with 5 kids total ages 4, 9, 12, 14, and 16. Thank you! |

We were in Boston recently and my kids enjoyed the Boston Tea Party museum. We also enjoyed wandering around the North End, getting cannoli, etc. The MFA is always a good bet and something like Top of the Hub might be fun on a clear day. If you have access to a car, Lexington and Concord would be fun to visit or Salem/Rockport on the North Shore.
Great restaurant choices! Both were favorites of mine when we lived in Boston. El Oriental de Cuba in JP is great, there are good Chinese restaurants in Chinatown and Taberno de Haro on the Boston/Brookline line is wonderful. |
| I have the same question but a tougher age - seven months. Any suggestions for things to do with a seven-month old in Cambridge/Boston for three weeks in January? |
| It's a little pricey, but the holiday Pops concert is a lot of fun - people dress up and bring kids. And any restaurant in the North End is a good choice (followed by cannoli at Mike's Pastry or Modern Pastry as the PP suggested). |
| The Science Museum is very good. |
Stay warm
Seriously, sounds like a fun trip. |
| With a seven month old, you can pretty much do what you want, right? There might be some stuff at the Children's Museum for that age, but try to check it out on the cheaper nights. It's expensive if there's nothing of interest. |
| I'd love a recommendation for a good, casual brunch place in Cambridge that would work for a group including tweens and teens, but no little kids. |
