My 7dpo bloodwork revealed that my progesterone was only at a 5, which the RE positioned as being too low to sustain a pregnancy. I was immediately placed on 200mg of Prometrium twice a day, just in case. So far so good, and I got a faint positive on a pregnancy test this morning.
The question: I'm not scheduled to go in for a beta/progesterone check until Wednesday. Given the positive test this morning, should I ask to go in this afternoon/tomorrow morning instead? I'm worried that my progesterone is still on the lower end, and I'd like to get that checked ASAP so they can make any necessary adjustments to the meds. Is that reasonable or am I worrying excessively? |

I've asked about this before, and they told me that the progesterone support should be more than enough.
That said, if you're concerned, just call and ask. |
| Thanks. I'll give them a call. Just wanted to make sure that I don't sound like a crazy lady. |

OP, I don't think you're worrying for nothing. I just finished the 2ww with IVF. I was on progesterone starting the day of egg retrieval, yet 8 days later my progesterone was still on the low end -- 8.1.
My doctor started me on progesterone injections immediately, and within 2 days my levels had doubled. I would ask to go in today/tomorrow. |
