help with jeans shopping

Okay, don't laugh *too* hard at me please.

I'm in my 20's and honestly never owned a pair of jeans. I have a curvy body, big ass/thighs, but nice legs.

Jeans are not necessarily the most flattering piece of clothing for me/my ass currently, but I'd really like to have a pair that looks good (or as good as possible. )

Are there any stores people would recommend that have exceptionally helpful sales people to tell me what does and doesn't flatter and help me find a good pair of jeans?

I've never tried them, but I've heard people say the Denim Bar in Bethesda has a wide variety of high end jeans, and sales people who can help you find the right one.
