clomid=bloating/weight gain?

did my five days of clomid for a 2nd cycle and i swear i have puton weight an look about 3mo pregnant.... i am going in today for a sono and postcoital - i *think* i may have ovulated (temp was up today) already -- which would be a day or two early... but no telling since i've been taking this clomid. did anyone else have bloating or weightgain? my whole abdomen seems more sensitive to the touch and today i'm even having some cramping.... could it be a good sign that all is well and i'm just ovulating???

as i said, going to the doc in an hour or so.. i'm just driving myself crazy right now speculating....

yes, after ovulation, you can feel bloated and gain weight due to the rise of progesterone after you ovulated.

If you haven't ovulated yet, your ovaries may still be full of fluid from the clomid. Plus, I think the combination of all the drugs can cause weight gain. I've been avoiding getting on the scale, but I better get pregnant soon because I'm sure some people at work will begin to think I'm pregnant!

OP here -- THANKS for the reassurance.. I am pretty petite to begin with so even 2 or 3 lbs makes the difference in being able to fit into my clothes....

In good news (and oh my gosh now what news...) I went to the RE today and I have two good size follicles on the right and another on the left! Great but oh my gosh!! This is my second round of clomid -- i didn't respond at all to the first with 1 pill so he upped it to two. he said if I don't get pregnant this month then next month we will try a pill and a half a day! crazy.....

I feel soooo big today -- just totally bloated and it's a bit crampy too.

i'm SO hoping to be pregnant this month!!!
