Honestly, I think that's why he defending this so hard. You can call her a liar but she and the kids have been great at redeeming his reputation.

It's very telling that despite being firmly A list with a slew of famous friends and co-stars, no other celebs have come to bat for Hilary at least for the sake of Alec.

If you listen to the latest podcast Juicy Scoop, Heather McMahan, who did that viral video about being Irish and American, intimated that Alec had in some way tried to intimidate her. She sounded pissed that she was trying to make light and he came at her, saying that they used to be neighbors for God's sake. So I think people may be afraid to offer any support because most people will support by making light, and Alec's not having any of it.

I actually don't hate her at all. But I LOVE stories about con artists. Most people do. It's a major theme in entertainment. I don't have an IG so I learned about her through this thread. And now I'm spellbound- so many plot twists!

Very interesting! Someone earlier said Leni Briscoe on Twitter was getting legal threats as well. Like others have said, he's exactly like Trump, things don't go your way? Take legal action!

I’m a long time follower of this thread. I don’t hate her at all. I’m just so fascinated by someone who lies and twists things so much for so long. If anything I’m in awe.

Is anyone else on here not a regular DCUM reader AND discovered this thread before the news broke wide, like before last week?

I've followed Hilaria on instagram for years and always thought something seemed off about her and I somehow came across this thread but I can't for the life of me remember how and it's bugging me! Lol.

So if anyone else randomly found this thread awhile back, can you please say how??

I had to admit that I LOVE these sorts of imposter stories. The Woman Who Wasn't There, The Night Listener (both the real and fictional account), JT Leroy, the one who pretended to be a Rockefeller, James Frey- I'm fascinated by all of them.

I haven't seen anyone mention how weird it is that she seemingly hasn't been on any trips to Spain in recent years either? I've followed her on instagram since a couple years before Covid and don't remember her ever posting a trip to Spain. And you KNOW she would post about it, she posts every minute of her life.

Also don't recall her posting any pictures of her or the kids with her parents or brother, either in Spain or America. Makes me wonder if they're actually somewhat estranged. (I know she posted a photo of a long supportive text message from her brother in Spanish and I'm not a native Spanish speaker, just took it in high school, but that looked like the work of Google Translate to me, lol).

I’ve only ever seen her taking selfies with one or more kids or having a nanny take pics at the beach or the school playground. Not their school in BK, the elementary school in AMG. So I don’t know if she tells the nannies to scoot out of the shot. They are not Spaniards. At least, not the ones I met. They were from El Salvador. If the Baldwins try to deny how many nannies they have, it will cement the fact that H is a pathological liar. Literally the entire town sees them all the time. It’s a very small town, not like it’s portrayed in the media. This is not East Hampton.

I remember Alec posted a picture of his nannies once on Instagram. It was a very sweet post praising them and thanking them. He was crucified in the comments for having so much help and being tone deaf, so he removed the pic.

ALEC WAS CRITICIZED BY HILARIA FOR OUTING THE NUMBER OF NANNIES!!! That's when I knew she was fake.

I have also been a follower for years. I saw something online, googled her name and Spanish and this thread, which I have never heard of before, came up.

I discussed this controversy with my husband who is from Central Europe and he said the country he grew up in didn't consider Spain, Italy, or Greece to be white. And our own definition is a little awkward because we consider Greeks who are mostly swarthy, olive skinned, and black haired to be white and yet blonde haired, blue eyed Syrians are brown. There really isn't a clear line between where white ends and brown begins and that's also true of brown and black. Let's all agree that brown-presenting people may be treated differently than white presenting people regardless of government definitions.

Well, I have found some people from central and eastern european countries have a feeling of superiority over southern countries because of their colors. Normally from the "poorest" countries of Europe: romanians, serbians, croatians, chezcks, polish, slovenes... They kind of think that at least they have a higher percentage of blonde population. Well, if that makes them feel good... nazi ideology deeply rooted.

Blonde and dark-haired people in Europe are all white. A typical spanish people have fair skin and light to dark brown hair, they would be treated as white.

I've followed her on instagram for a few years and I've always been annoyed by how she never shows a nanny. She claims it's because they want anonymity but you never even see a hand or foot in frame. I can't imagine the time and energy it takes to take so many photos and videos of her kids but never include a glimpse of anyone helping her. And she never mentions them either. It's so fake and wrong.
