Butter cookies: genius or a disaster in the making?

DD wants to make cookies. We don't have time to chill the dough normally. I made the dough, rolled it out immediately between two sheets of parchment paper, and stuck it in the freezer. Is there some reason why this wouldn't work?

No should work. I find it easier to work with frozen preformed dough sometimes. You may only need 15-20 minutes in the freezer.
