Oh Hell No!

We've been reviewing au pair candidates for a solid week. Tonight, DH says, "Take a look at the latest one they sent us from Brazil, Susannah. I watched her video and she seems the most normal."

I think to myself, "Great! We've had some really strong applications from Brazil, and he seems to like her."

I watch the video in stunned silence.

"I'm not sure I'd say normal."

DH: "Why?"

Me: "She has a Christina Aguilera problem."

DD, who is 8: "Yes, Mommy, I see why you don't like how she's dressed. Her shirt comes all the way down to here. I like where your shirt is much better."

He can hire the ultra hot model gorgeous hanging out all over au pair over my dead body.

Nix the au pair route. You'd be looking for trouble no matter what she looks like. Just don't leave this guy at home with any woman. Do yourself a favor and get a live-out sitter.

Insecure much, OP? Why shouldn't your husband have some hot young thing around the house?

If he wants a "hot young thing" let him get a recently manufactured blow up doll.

The au pair is a human being, not a goddamn "thing."

That au pair sounds unprofessional. Make her wear a polo shirt and khakis uniform every day (that you provide) or find someone that knows how to dress for interacting with kids.

How do you go through life carrying that chip on your shoulder? Are you normally this obtuse in your real life interactions? It must be exhausting to be you.

It's concerning that your 8 year old is picking up on your insecurities.

It's obvious that your husband is missing out on something or someone. He watches the video and thinks she is perfect.

maybe if you dress like that once in a while OP, your DH won't be salivating over the video, hmmmm???

Throw all the insults you want. Women are still never "things."

Must be a lot of au pairs posting. My 8 yo knows when someone is dressed inappropriately. If my DH did this, I'd think he was joking. He'd know there's no way in hell I'd hire someone like that for a personal or professional position. I'm right with you, OP!

Can you look past her boobs, was she a good aupair.

I had gorgeous aupair from brazil, think Selma Hayek. She was loving and easy going so she was a perfect aupair for an infant. She also had lived with twin infants at home so helped care for them.

Too bad you are judging her on her looks.

Always a bad idea to bring a lamb into the lion's den.

I would not invite that trouble into my home. Maybe it's unfair to the really good-looking candidates, but that's just the way it is!
