(here's to hoping every mother in the DC metropolitan area reads DCUM)
...I was the other nursing mother sitting with my pink and brown Bebe au Lait cover. I'm sorry I wasn't more talkative/nicer. My DD will violently unlatch every time I talk--basically I need to nurse in silent or whisper! So...I'm sorry!! Hope you had a good day. |
| If your child needs quiet what "the hell" where you doing nursing in a public place anyway????????? |
| I think she meant the baby needs mommy to be quiet not the entire universe you dork. Its been awhile since you've been fucked eh? Or is it because you formula fed your spawn. Jealous much? |
| Please let's remember not to feed you know who...(that would be the grammar-lacking troll...) |
Is this the Merry Fruitcake Troll? Shessh, give people a break. It's the holidays. |
| Dear OP-yes, I was sitting right next to you wondering if you were having the same problems-thanks for writing to me-are you enjoying most of this as much as I am-my little darling and I sharing a moment of love and nourishment-in public, in private, at night, during the day-I"ve never experienced anything like this. Wishing you happiness and love in the New Year. |
What a sweet exhange! And a nice reminder of how supportive and positive this site can be, trolls notwithstanding . . . .

OP here. Yes..it is definitely interesting to nurse in public, but I'm finally at a point where I'm ok with it. My only downfall as I said is that I can't talk. Even at home, if I speak too loudly she'll try to rip out my nipple. Anyone else talking or even the TV -- not too much of a problem. Anyway..I'm glad to see other BFing mothers out there..at the mall, battling the holiday season with a baby.
Happy holidays and happy New Year Bebe Au Lait mother (as I referred to you when I mentioned the scene today at Tyson's to my husband.) Oh! Did I mention? You looked super fashionable and I thought to myself...hmm must figure out a way to fit in time to do my hair and makeup before going out with baby. You didn't even look like you had a nursing top on..did you? |
why put a false reply? and this reeks of one. sure, it's nice, but still? |
seriously? |
| why don't we leave them alone. they are enjoying the holiday season with their infants and having a nice moment connecting as new moms. it's very sweet. |
Bingo. Yes, the reply is fake. Its from a nanny who seems to think DCUM is nothing but a place for her fun and games. She often goes by the name "Jimmy". |
| Jeff, can't you ban her? |
If this is a nanny I really hope her employers are aware of her bitter, vitriolic characteristics. I def disagree now and then but this person is just strange and nasty. I would not want her teaching (educative) my chlildren anything. |
And it'd be better if it were your child's nurse, doctor, future teacher, mother at a play date, etc? The behavior is strange and unacceptable regardless of profession. |
