I am seeking information on this university which is located in Boca Raton, Florida and goes by the acronym, FAU. My family has a home there and would be interested in our children attending the university. Any feedback would be helpful.

Why just FAU? There are quite a few Florida universities beyond UF and FSU. FIU in Miami is very highly regarded for its business and architecture programs and is highly selective.

I have relatives who attended. They were average public school students with significant talent. One left the area to attend a more prestigious school but was very homesick. Returned to Florida and finished up at FAU. Both entered education.

It's great if you are a c/d student. I doubt that anyone aspires to go there.

FAU is not a very good school. I certainly wouldn't come from out of state to attend it. FIU is quite good and the University of Miami is great, although very expensive.

Only impressive to Floridians. But hey, right across the street from Legal Seafood!

My friend taught there for three years and had to stop because the stupidity made her too depressed. Not kidding.she loved teaching but hated how stupid the students were.
