Who do you think makes the best jeans? I recently invested in a pair of Lucky Brand jeans and am generally pleased with them, but wondering if I could do better. |
I love Lucky too. Since I have not yet lost my baby wait I had to get a new pair of jeans. This go-round I went with sevens they are super soft, I haven't wore them yet, b/c they need to be hemmed. |

The one that makes "no falling jeans" for active pregnant women. I need HELP. |
Paige -- designed to make your butt look good. |
Just an FYI that there is now a Lucky outlet in the Leesburg Outlets. Worth the trip - my DD got 2 pairs for about $80. |
I love the Sevens and Joe's Jeans in Honey (for curvier figures). If you find one style that you like you can often buy the jeans online for much less than Nordstrom or Nat'l Jean Co. |
i think i saw some postings on this earlier but.... i really need a good pair -- live in reston, work in tys. will nordstrom's be helpful helping me to find a line that fits my body type? do they have a good selection? do they do the "jean hemm" if i need them shortened? |
To my Reston neighbor: try at Banana Republic, R. Town Ctr. |
Another vote for 7 For All Mankind jeans. They have a style for every body type and the jeans make you look tall and thin.
Dark jeans will also make you look thinner than lighter denim. Bootcut is almost universally flattering, as is a trouser leg (unless you are very petite). |
Filene's basement usuall has TONS of 7 for All Mankind at half price. |
thanks neighbor! have you been to that new denim store at the town center? wasn't sure if they were all one brand or multi... |
PP here who recommended the Sevens and Joe's. I think the one in Reston Town Center is National Jean Company. They have lots of styles - even if you don't buy them there you can try a bunch on and see what you like. I don't know if they do alterations though.
I have been to the one in Bethesda and the staff is always nice. I am 40 and a size 31 or so in jeans - ie not the usual demographic - and they always have great suggestions on fit and brands. Good luck! |
ok -- went to Banana today and really like the Urban jeans i bought today! thanks for the suggestion!! ps -- i tried national jean and after the sales woman kept bringing me bigger and bigger sizes and i still couldn't get them much past my thighs more or less if i could i could never get them even close to zipping, i was so depressed i thought i would never find jeans!! my banana's were size 4p.. i tried the 6's first and they were actually big! |
TO the poster who said FIlenes has & for all mankind jeans.....how much are they? I got mine at Nordstrom off rack for 100. |
