Mount Vernon Rec center swim classes for baby and toddler

Anyone had experience with swim classes here?

Yes- it was FREEZING and we had a different, equally uninterested instructor each week. It was pretty bad.

I did classes here, too. (I responded to your GW rec center thread.) As well as Lee Rec.

The classes are all the same, I've found. And totally dependent on the swim instructor. But the instructor changes facilities or times, so it's hard to follow a good instructor. We've had good instructors at all 3 centers. We've had okay instructors at all 3. The baby classes, in particular, are just a variety of singing songs and then walking baby back and forth in the water. But if you want to get your child acclimated to water, and you don't have a pool, go for it! Baby won't be learning to swim, by any means, but it will be fun.

Mt. Vernon has more parental viewing areas. Comfier chairs. And grandstands for additional viewing, or if baby wants to walk around while sibling swims. They have a zero depth entry thing, too, like GW, with water buckets that they turn off during swim class times.

Audrey Moore has the warmest pool that I've found.

Mt Vernon has been renovated and it's nice and warm.
I liked the instructor as well.
