Liquor for baking

Where do you get your liquors for baking? I need rhum in a recipe but I don't want to buy a whole bottle

You can get a little bottle, airport or minibar size.

Yup, liquor stores sell mini bottles.

You could also just ask a friend if you can borrow some. Rum is a pretty standard drink, so chances are someone will have a bottle they can give you some of.

Yeah, the smaller sized bottles of hooch are usually kept behind the counter.

Costco is running a decent sale on vanilla beans right now. If you want, you could pick up a full sized bottle of rum, use what you need for the recipe, chuck in some vanilla beans and seal it back up. This time next year you will have the most awesome vanilla extract ever.

Conn. Ave. Wine & Liquor, in Dupont Circle, has small bottles of good stuff, not just the mass produced airplane brands. I bet that might be true at other reputable bottle shops like Schneiders or Calvert Woodley.
